PHILADELPHIA MARATHON VOLUNTEER PROGRAM– November 19, 20 & 21, 2010

We know that Philadelphia is a great place to live, work, play and serve, and this year we proved it again - thanks to you! The Philadelphia Marathon is a premier event for Philadelphia to showcase itself as a world class destination city and it is only through the hard work and dedication of volunteers that we are able to make this event happen.

Just like runners striving for their best time, we know your time means so much. Your service over these three days:

• Assisted over 19,000 runners and their families in four different races
• Engaged young and old alike in a health & fitness expo with over 70 vendors
• Contributed to a lasting impact on the economic and cultural foundation of the city

Again, thank you for your dedication and your enthusiasm. Volunteers like you are a big part to the success of the Philadelphia Marathon, and it is thorough you that we introduced or reaffirmed Philadelphia as a premier destination city. The Philadelphia Marathon partnered with Greater Philadelphia Cares to organize over 2,600 volunteers to come out over marathon weekend to show their support for the City of Philadelphia. We've received great feedback and many thanks for our volunteers from participants and spectators alike.
